The walls of the backstage room at the Westside Comedy Theatre, where I take improvisation classes, are marked with words from (I imagine) past and present performers. Some thoughts are silly, others are LOL funny, and a good number impart wisdoms. I have not contributed one of my own, but maybe one day while I’m back there and something good comes to me. Anyway, below is one graffiti wisdom that I really like. I’m not sure I believe in destiny in its strict definition, but I believe in what it represents as an amalgamation of all the forces around one’s life — call that what you may. I can relate to being lost and agree that when you are, it’s effective to stop, observe and listen to the forces around you. It’s a means to awareness and eventually, progress.
